Automation Engineer (US)

JOB DUTIES:
  • DCS/MES/SCADA System design and configuration.
  • Gather information.
  • Design the Control Systems using Siemens PCS7 suite of tools.
  • Participate in after-hour support roster.
  • Provide regular training, feedback and support to client engineers and operators on the Control Systems operations.
  • Through interactions with client’s employees, create, modify and explain operating procedures for client.
  • Perform network design and implementation. Design network with compliance in mind and follow a security standard.
  • Perform fault finding of control systems.
  • Commission Installation Qualification (IQ), an Operational Qualification (OQ), and a Process Qualification (PQ).
  • Coach and mentor project team.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Commission DCS/MES/SCADA/Historian systems.
  • Setup and testing of the Control Systems software integrated with all other systems.
  • Train and develop team members in MES/DCS design.
  • Support sales and marketing initiatives.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Mechatronics Engineering, Information Technology or related field of study and 5 years of experience as a Senior Control Systems Engineer or related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience using OPCenter Execution Pharma, SIMATIC IT eBR, or similar; 2 years of experience using Siemens PCS7; Experience with DCS/MES/SCADA system design and configuration; Experience with network design and implementation, including compliance and
    security standard; and Experience in setup and testing of control systems software.
JOB SITE:

May work from the company headquarters in Kankakee, IL. May reside anywhere in the US and work remotely from home. May work at other US locations not presently known.; 40 hours/week

TRAVEL:

Up to 50% domestic travel required.

SALARY/BENEFITS:
  • $136,000.00/yr to $140,000.00/yr.
